Noctua NA-SYC1 4-Pin PWM Fan Y-Cables, 2 pack

Allows for two 4-pin PWM fans to be controlled and powered by the motherboard.

Features

  1. Allows for two PWM fans to be connected to one power source
  2. Fully sleeved
  3. Supplied in a pack of 2

The NA-SYC1 is a fan accessory set consisting of two fully sleeved NA-YC1 Y-Cables for 4-pin PWM fans. The NA-YC1 Y-Cables make it possible to run two 4-pin PWM fans on a single fan header and to let the mainboard control the speed of both fans simultaneously. Multiple NA-YC1 can be daisy-chained to control more than two PWM fans via one header.

Please note: Common mainboard fan headers support up to 9.6 or 12W (check your mainboard manual for detailed information). Please thus make sure that the combined power draw of the fans connected to one fan header using NA-YC1 adaptors does not exceed this value!

Customer Reviews

Noctua quality, even on their accessories.

,

Excellent quality PWM splitter cable, allowing to monitor one fan, and drive multiple fans on a same PWM connector on the motherboard. This allows for nicely synchronised fans (I wanted them synchronised as I have a push-pull setup on a watercooling radiator, to lower excess turbulence and, hopefully, lower some of the wearing of the moving parts).

Nicely sleeved, and not very long, but adequate for my use.

Checking the build quality, it feels sturdy and durable. And if somebody looks inside my case, they can see some extra Noctua branding, showing I care about quality (even if it is not always cheap).

Aside from that, not much to say. :)

Only gripe I have: Noctua packaging is WAY TOO BIG! Seriously, it is a waste of material and space. The boxes are big enough to put a dozen of those splitter cables.

“Akasa Newton S7”

“I purchased an Akasa Newton S7 case for my Intel NUC board. It arrived on time as described. However while this is a great product there are a few things about it I didn’t like. The first thing that caught my attention was that the heat sink is painted over. This will have a negative impact on the thermal performance, as paint does not have the conductivity that aluminum does (a copper block would have been even better). As I proceeded with the build I found that the cables for the front PCB were extremely stiff which meant that quite a bit of pressure was applied to my board where they attached. Also the case was not quite tall enough to accommodate the unyielding cables, meaning that I had difficulty installing in the bottom plate. The front LED also stopped working within a few days. And if you ripped your board from a NUC chassis, forget getting the internal wifi antennas to work inside the case. The supplied thermal pads for the CPU are also not a good idea as thermal grease is substantially better. I actually used some noctua NT-H1. However, all things considered I am happy with the product. My computer is now absolutely silent and the idle and load temps are actually better than they were with active cooling. Hopefully Akasa can fix some of my gripes in future iterations of this product.”
