Zalman ZM-NC3500 Series 17 inch Notebook Coolers

As world leaders in desktop cooling solutions, Zalman are proud to announce the NC3500 series of 17[“] notebook coolers.

With computing power ever on the increase, heat issues can affect laptop computers just as much as conventional desktop machines. Because such high-power components are squeezed inside such a small case, it is inevitable that the heat has to escape somewhere, and invariably manufacturers resort to small, high speed fans to keep their components cool. This results in an overly noisy laptop. The NC3500 series laptop coolers are Zalman’s latest addition to their range.

These work by simply keeping the base of the laptop very cool using a large, but slow spinning 220 mm fan. Because the laptop is kept cool, the laptop’s own noisy fans aren’t used very much, if at all and the laptop remains quiet.

The ZM-NC3500 Turbo is the basic model offering quiet cooling for normal use but it also has a high performance turbo mode to allow greater cooling which would be ideal for hot running gaming laptops.

ZM-NC3500-Plus

The ZM-NC3500-Plus offers the same quiet laptop cooling but also sports a pair of high quality speakers. These are not the usual built-in speakers which often sound quite weak. The sound quality is excellent thanks to the cooler’s built in two channel sound card and dual amplifiers. The speakers are cleverly hidden inside the cooler but the sound is reflected towards the user rather than to their sides which helps improve the overall sound quality. Zalman call this ESS or Enhanced Stereo Sound technology.

The side of the cooler also provides easy access to the sound control buttons which feature on/off, mute and volume buttons.

Both coolers act as a USB 2 hub providing the user with an additional four USB 2.0 ports.

As with all Zalman laptop coolers, the speed of the fan can be adjusted by using the speed dial on the rear of the cooler.

Should it be required that three or more USB devices be connected to the USB hub, Zalman have provided the optional ZM-AD100 DC adapter to ensure that all four ports are provided with enough power to enable the attached devices to function properly. The adapter is not required to operate the built-in sound card.
