Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 LP Low Profile Quiet Intel CPU Cooler

The Freezer 7 LP is a cutting edge low profile Intel CPU cooler especially designed for media centre systems.

Low Profile Intel CPU Cooler optimised for Slim Cases

The vast majority of users have difficulty sourcing a suitable quiet aftermarket CPU cooler to replace the stock cooler. The Freezer 7 LP addresses this issue, it is a cutting edge low profile Intel LGA775 CPU cooler especially designed for media centre systems.

Features

  1. Dual heatpipes design
  2. Optimised heatsink design for low profile systems
  3. Patented fan holder eliminates the humming Noise
  4. Pre-applied high performance thermal compound
  5. Six year warranty
  6. Compatible with Intel LGA775

Slim Beauty

The revolutionary heatsink design of the Freezer 7 LP reduces the size of the cooler dramatically, leaving it only 42mm tall and 263g in weight, almost half the weight of similar performing CPU coolers. With this ultra thin dimension, the Freezer 7 LP easily fits into most small chassis’ with limited space.

Freeze and Breeze

Apart from its lightweight and low profile design, the Freezer 7 LP also performs extremely well. Two heatpipes, 40 fins and an 80mm PWM fan dissipate heat from the CPU core efficiently and quickly. Together with the highly thermal conductive pre-applied MX-2 thermal paste and voltage regulator cooling, the Freezer 7 LP is 20% cooler (thermal resistance) than the stock E8500 low profile cooler, giving media centre users an increased cooling experience over stock cooling.

The Art of Silence

Like other Arctic Cooling products, low noise impellers and patented fan holder are used to minimise the noise level. Even though spinning at full load, the Freezer 7 LP generates only 0.5 Sone of noise 71% quieter than the Intel stock cooler.

PLEASE NOTE - Arctic Cooling measure noise levels in Sone (loudness) instead of dB (sound intensity). The loudness depends upon your ears response curves and tells you how noticeable a certain noise is.

plastic crashed

,

when i was push down thin plastic crashed….!!!avoid this Cpu cooler…there are too many others…

Too fiddly

,

This fan is a low profile fan and I would only recommend it to people who really need a low profile fan. The installation involves placing some parts onto the holes on the motherboard to make the holes further apart. These parts are incredibly fiddly and just mean that the heatsink cannot be clamped down onto the CPU as strongly without these parts popping out of place. I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and bought the PRO version of this which I installed in about 1 minute compare with about half an hour fiddling around with this one before I gave up

I’ve given it 5 stars because although a complete waste of time for me, if you need a low profile cooler it would be a necessary hassle.
