Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 Pro Rev.2 Ultra Quiet Cooler for Intel 1155/1156
“The Alpine 11 Pro is for users who are looking for an extremely quiet, high performance and easy-to-install cooling solution.”
The Alpine 11 Pro features a more sophisticated acoustic design than the stock cooler. Thanks to the patented vibration absorption and fan holder, the cooler is barely audible: only 0.4 Sone at 2,000 rpm - a standard with which the stock cooler cannot hope to compete. With a 92mm PWM fan and a larger heatsink design, the maximum cooling capacity of the Alpine 11 Pro is a very respectable 95 watts.
The unique mounting system is very user-friendly and provides an absolutely transport-safe solution. The cooler is fastened by screws - no back plate is necessary nor has the mainboard to be disassembled. The whole installation can be done in less than a minute! This is a total peace of mind solution for Intel users.

Worked fine on a regular ATX mobo. But when i switched to a mini-ATX, it would no longer fit.
Sorry to hear that the cooler doesn't seem to fit all 775 boards. The manufacturer has made the base of the cooler more square rather than the usual ‘X’ shape of traditional 775 cooler so I can see how the larger foot print would occasionally catch some nearby components that the stock cooler wouldn’t especially on a mini-ATX board where space is at a premium.

Used this to replace the Corei5 stock cooler. While the product works I wouldn't say it was a massive improvement over the stock in terms of either quietness or performance.
