Ordered this PSU on Monday eve and it arrived Wednesday via City Link courier. Put it in my PC today and it is very quiet. Not silent but pretty close. Cables coming from the unit are a little untidy but it has a decent mix of SATA and MOLEX connectors. Also has a PCI/E connector. Given it an 8/10. 1 point off for it not being completely silent and 1 off for cable management. Other than that you can't go wrong! Great PSU!!!

This PSU is just amazing. Not for the PC novice - no booklet/and the cables are an area where Rasurbo designers could improve - but they were labelled, and provided plenty of connector types - molex/sata/etc. The psu has one large fan that sucks air out of the case - the fan points DOWNWARD into the case on a standard atx - it was a squeeze getting it in the Thermaltake soprano case but it is very, very quiet. The x-power unit in my other build sounds like a wheezy jet engine. Try these and gain some peace of mind and quiet.

I don't know why I haven't bought a quiet PSU supply before buying this one today. Fitted in 5 mins (no exaggeration), no more noise, in fact the hard drive is noisier than the PSU. Absolutely brilliant! Product does exactly what it's meant to do. If you are considering buying a quiet PSU, do it! It's so nice to hear nothing when you boot up! This particular model is just fantastic.

What can I say, other than - fantastic (no pun intended!). Ordered, delivered next day and fitted in 5 minutes. Works a dream, I had to convince myself that the fan was actually turning. As far as I am concerned, this is silent - my AMD stock cooler is more noisy (next upgrade!). Excellent build quality and below whisper quiet in operation. Thank You Quiet PC and Rasurbo.

I used one of these to replace the power supply in my PC which made me feel like I was working with a wheezy jet engine the fan was so noisy. I can only say the difference is unbelievable. Unless I put my ear right up to the unit I cannot hear the fan running at all.
The unit is well engineered with plenty of power connectors and all the leads were long enough to enable me to run them around the edge of the tower case and fasten them out of the way to aid air flow.
The fan is bigger than the one in the unit it replaced and draws air out of the case and pushes it out of the back. The airflow has increased so much that when I place my hand over the vent in the side of the case I can actually feel the airflow into the case which I couldn't before so the increased airflow is a bonus for cooling the rest of the system components in the case.

Great service, ordered one day received the next. Just finished fitting and very happy with how quiet it is. Great PSU.

If cables were a little longer I'd give this 10/10. Silent, and well worth it at the price I paid.

Power supply was a cinch to install, and very quiet when turned on; only an elegant whoosh. A huge improvement over the bodged, wheezy, rattly, inefficient and unreliable power supply that preceded it.
One star off, however, for messy, tangled cables. And not just a tangle you can untangle, but tangled because some cables are soldered to the PSU board through two other cables, and it's a mess.
Overall, a fantastic budget power supply.

I wanted a economical quiet power supply. No problem with this one. Only downside was that one of the hard disc power connector cables was a little bit to short so I had to move my CD drive one bay up. But that was not an issue. Definitely recommend this unit ... money left over to spend on other PC stuff :-)
Shipping was fast...

Very quiet, I can't hear it anyway. Too few SATA power leads on it though, so I had to buy some converter leads.

A colleague recommended this site. I ordered the PSU and received it promptly. I then tried to fit it and found that I had the 24 pin connector while this appeared to have a 20 pin connector. I phoned Quiet PC and the customer services were very helpful to point out that I had to attach the four pin connector already on the PSU to the twenty pin to make up the 24 pin. I did as told and voila it's up and running. The PSU unit is very quiet, in fact I had to put my ear next to the PSU to hear any noise and I still wasn't sure with all the other noises in the PC so I looked at the fan to make sure it was up and of course it was since the system was powering up. For the price I would recommend this as a brilliant buy to reduce the noise in your box. I gave it 9 stars because if you are a complete beginner you may want to know what goes where. It would have been helpful for the PSU supplier to give a little helpsheet. Thank you Quiet PC.

To my ears this is completely silent. I went from what I'd consider to be a normal sounding computer to a completely silent one... and I have a powerful PC. All I can hear now is the odd click of the hard drive. Highly recommended.

I purchased one of these for a Freenas system that has to sit in the corner of the lounge and be quiet enough so I don't hear it over quiet bits in films etc. It's so quiet I have to look to see if the light is on to know whether it is switched on or not. My main PC power supply just gave up the ghost last night so I'm ordering another one to replace that. With a northbridge fan less heatsink I'm looking forward to a silent pc :) very happy with it.
Only down side is a couple of the cables were a bit short for my big Coolermaster case but easily fixed with an add on adapter (molex to sata) for the hard drives which are at the very bottom front of my case. so it gets a 9* and not a 10

This PSU barely makes any noise! It makes the quiet case fans (17.5db) I have seem loud. Only falls in a couple of small respects:
1. Only 3 SATA connectors doesn't leave room for a lot of expansion.
2. The 4 pin ATX12V connector wasn't long enough to reach the socket on my motherboard.
These tiny deficiencies are all forgiven for its price!
