AMD’s Opteron processors are primarily for use with AMD’s server line, although you may come across some Opteron motherboards that have only one CPU socket this is because AMD released some Opteron CPUs for the home enthusiasts. The three supported sockets are very different from one another but what they have in common are the two holes on either side of the socket. These holes are the exact same diameter and distance apart, therefore a cooler that will fit one of these sockets will also fit the others. The coolers available here will fit the following sockets, G34, C32 and socket F.
As always, if you are still unsure which CPU cooler is right for you, please read our article “How do I choose a CPU cooler?” and remember to check the TDP of your CPU to aid identifying a suitable cooler.

Quiet PC, an excellent company.
I have had a few computers ordered from England over the past 15 years and can say without a doubt that the one I received from Quiet PC 2 months ago is by far the best. The construction and components are excellent, plus the fact that it was free shipping to Ireland ( most other computer makers charge very high for shipping) and was exceptionly well packed for transport.
The help from them in choosing an upgrade to the graphics card was 1st. class.
I fully recomend Quiet PC.
