ZEROtherm BTF95 Butterfly Fanless Copper CPU Cooler
| BTF95 Butterfly Fanless Copper CPU Cooler [Discontinued] Review this product | €38,45 (€45,18 inc MOMS) |

At first glance you may be fooled in thinking the ZEROtherm BTF95 is just a BTF90 without a fan (and a more elaborate butterfly attached to the top of the heatsink). But in fact there is one thing that makes the BTF95 a better heatsink than the BTF90 when you want to run the heatsink fanless. This difference is the pitch between the fins.

Left BTF95, right BTF90. As you can see the pitch between the fins on the BTF95 is larger. The BTF95 has 31 horizontal fins, compared to the BTF90's 46
The importance of having a larger pitch between the fins is to make it easier for the low amount of airflow to circulate around the fins. When the fins are too close to each other the air is restricted from circulating and therefore the fins will not cool down as much as a heatsink with a larger pitch. This makes the BTF95 an excellent fanless CPU heatsink. Especially for CPUs that output less than 75W, like Intel's new Core 2 Duo. We do not recommended this cooler with Quad Core and Pentium D CPUs because they generate in excess of 100W of heat.
We expect the BTF95 Fanless Butterfly to be a very popular cooler, so get one while you can before they fly out of our warehouse, sorry!
