We are pleased to announce a ground-breaking example of living room PC design - the Zeno Fanless Media Centre Chassis with Heatpipe CPU Cooler. Only 100mm high and 295mm wide, it is sure to look great as the focus of any home entertainment system. The chassis is supplied in brushed black aluminium and its fascia is clean, elegant and uncluttered. Only the ZENO logo, power button, HDD activity light, Blu-Ray tray fascia and remote control sensor (option) are visible on the front of the case.

The chassis is supplied with a fanless CPU cooler that is designed to passively cool a CPU that have a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 65W or lower. The chassis can do this with the use of heatpipes that attach to the CPU cooler and then onto either side of the chassis which features two large aluminium heatsinks that naturally dissipate the heat - providing silent cooling for the CPU!

Compatible Components

Motherboards - The Zeno NT-TX2000 is compatible with Mini-ITX motherboards only. The case offers a good amount of flexibility regarding the position of the CPU on the motherboard and compatibility with the CPU cooler. There is currently no news regarding any incompatible motherboard. We can confirm that if you plan to use a Mini-ITX motherboard with a 1155 socket then the Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3-B3 is ideal.

CPU - The cooling solution supplied with the chassis has been designed to dissipate heat generated by a CPU that does not exceed 65W TDP (Thermal Design Power). The following is a list of recent CPU's that produce 65W or lower; AMD Socket FM1 A4-3300, A4-3400, A6-3500, A6-3600, A6-3800 and all AMD Mobile Fusion APUs. Intel Socket 1155 - All i3 CPUs, i5 2390T, 2400S, 2404S, 2500S, 2500T, i7 2600S and virtually all Intel Mobile Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs.

Power Supply - The Zeno 100W Fanless PSU has been especially design to work flawlessly with the Zeno TX-2000 Fanless Media Centre Chassis. The PCB fit perfectly at the bottom of the chassis, where it is attached to two stand-offs to give it a secure fitting. It is recommended not to overload the amount of peripherals; one HDD or SSD, one optical drive, a TV tuner and obviously a motherboard should not be a problem.

Hard Drive / SSD - The Zeno can only accommodate either one 2.5" hard drive or SSD. The drive is installed on the underneath of the same tray that holds the optical drive.

Optical Drive - The LG Slimline Blu-ray Drive found here is currently the best optical drive we have come across that works with the Zeno without any issues.

Remote Control - Also available for the Zeno Media Centre Chassis is this iMON remote controller and receiver. The receiver attaches securely to the inside of the chassis and connects to a spare USB header on the motherboard. There is a window present allowing the sensor on the PCB to have a direct line of sight to the remote. The Remote has all the buttons you would ever need to be able to control a PC running Windows Media Centre.
