“A great starting point for your new living room PC. The Moneual 300 series cases offer beautiful slim design yet highly practical internal design.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately there will be a delay until we secure more stock of the Moneual chassis'. This is down to the product being improved. At present our best ETA will be around July, but this has yet to be confirmed. Of course as soon as we have any updates we will change our website accordingly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Moneual 300 Series Home Theater PC chassis with their sleek yet sophisticated design are ideal for those looking for a more inconspicuous HTPC cut down in size, but not in function. Composed entirely of 100% hand-crafted aluminium, the chassis' hide essential ports such as microphone, speaker jacks, USB and Firewire ports, as well as a multimedia card reader. The four rubber-soled aluminium audio feet add quality to the presentation, and intelligent venting systems built throughout the case encourage airflow to keep the system adequately cool for optimal performance.

Features

  1. Low profile Home Theater chassis
  2. Accommodates micro ATX motherboards only
  3. Compatible with low profile cards and standard ATX PSUs
  4. Two thirds the depth of standard HTPC cases
  5. Includes Win7 remote control
  6. Elegant VFD display *
  • * 320 Black, 320 Silver only

The secret to Moneual's chassis is the immense media storage space available. It is possible to install up to three 3½" hard drives. With larger and larger Hard Disk Drives becoming available to consumers at an alarming rate, who knows how much space the hard drives will ultimately be able to hold! High Definition, even Blu-Ray quality can all be stored onto your system, meaning that switching playback between different media has never been easier. With just the touch of a button, you can move from playing online music channels, to music from your music library, to pre-recorded television programs, to stored movies. The huge amount of storage space enables all your media to be accessible and available to you quickly and easily.

Size Matters Not!

Another unique feature of the cases is that they are two thirds the depth of standard home theatre chassis. This is ideal if space is restricted. You would be wrong in thinking that corners have been cut to make the chassis smaller. In fact even with this smaller size, the chassis can still accommodate full size ATX PSUs and Micro ATX motherboards.

Product Differences

The 312 and the 320 are almost identical in every way. They are exactly the same size in that they both accommodate Micro-ATX motherboards and standard ATX PSUs and they even have the same Win7 remote control. In fact the only difference between the two chassis is the front panel.

The 320 boasts a VFD for showing media information, while the 312 just has a long flap which hides the card reader along with the USB and other ports. These ports are also on the 320 but the type of ports have been cut down to just USB. The same can be said for the flash media it also supports.

If you are unsure which chassis to purchase, then the question that needs to be answered is whether or not you want to see any media information when playing movie or music files. Once you have your answer, you'll know which chassis to buy!

GREAT CASE - POOR SOFTWARE - BUY 40MM FANS!

Bought this case to reduce the footprint of my HTPC that was previously built around a Silverstone lC10M. The case itself is lovely, and is well designed both externally and on the inside. Make sure you purchase some 40mm fans at the same time as the case doesn't come with any by default, and due to its small format - needs them badly!

I would have given this case a 9 or 10, if it wasn't for the atrocious software that is necessary to drive the VFD, remote and Volume knob. Sadly, it doesn't work at all well in W7 (x86 or 64), crashes frequently and does not work at all with Media centre without confusing itself and eventually taking out the PC. Pity, as I t makes me regret having paid a premium for the VFD in the first place!

Overall, Great case let down by terrible software & don't forget to buy 2 or 3 40mm fans!!

EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH QUALITY CASE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Although more expensive than other cases of similar type, it's hard not to justify it when you see the quality of construction - well worth the extra money. Bought this case to replace a Silverstone LC16M, as it wasn't discrete enough in living room, plus iMon remote + VFD supplied with it proved to be problematic.

- the case is of exceptional quality
- blends in extremely well with AV equipment
- the remote supplied is NOT the iMon one, which is a good thing.

Haven't had any cooling or overheating issues (Athlon II x2 260 + Scythe Shuriken Rev.B, 3.5" hard drives x 2, Blu-ray drive x 1).

Couple of recommendations though:
- install two 40mm fans (not supplied) on case to improve case airflow
- like any computer, its best not store it in enclosed AV space
- don't use a CPU TDP >65w. Not necessarily a case design problem, but a decent low-profile CPU cooler for >65W TDP CPUs are few and far between.

QUIET PC's service is as excellent as always - Thanks!

LOVE THIS CASE

Had one of these for almost a year now, and it is the best HTPC case I have owned. Nice and slimline, but still fits all of my components, no problems with cooling and it looks great.
