AMD Opteron Quiet CPU Coolers

AMD's Opteron processors are primarily for use with AMD's server line, although you may come across some Opteron motherboards that have only one CPU socket this is because AMD released some Opteron CPUs for the home enthusiasts. The three supported sockets are very different from one another but what they have in common are the two holes on either side of the socket. These holes are the exact same diameter and distance apart, therefore a cooler that will fit one of these sockets will also fit the others.
