Intel LGA2011 Quiet CPU Coolers


LGA 2011, also known as Socket R, was released on 14 November 2011, and supports Sandy Bridge E-series processors with four memory channels of DDR3. The Sandy Bridge Extreme Edition processor supports six cores with 15 MB of shared L3 cache. But unlike the socket 1155 Shandy Bridge CPUs, the Extreme Edition does not include an integrated GPU, therefore a dedicated graphics card is required. It has also been mentioned that this socket will also support the new Ivy Bridge-E CPU when they are released.
