Zalman are now producing a new "A" version of their best-selling CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower Cooler. The A version supports AMD's socket AM2, as well as Intel socket 775 and 478. AMD's sockets 754, 939 and 940 remain supported too. The clip systems for these other sockets have been improved. The primary innovation of the CNPS9500 lies in the patented 'figure of 8' shape bending of the heatpipes. This produces the effect of up to six heatpipes when in actual fact there are only three. The excellent cooling performance and efficiency of the CNPS9500A-LED is achieved by the aerodynamically designed ultra-slim heatsink fins and their performance optimised layout. This layout reduces airflow resistance and minimises the weight of the cooler.

Ultimate Performance: Triple Figure-8 shaped heatpipes offer twice the cooling of conventional heatpipe design.

Minimised Weight: Aerodynamically designed ultra-slim 0.2 mm fins for minimised weight and reduced airflow resistance.

CPU Compatibility: Compatible with Intel socket 478/775 and AMD socket AM2/754/939/940.

Ultra Quiet Operation: World-famous ultra-quiet fan operation - virtually inaudible with figures as low as 18 dB.

Compatibility Issues

The PC case cover must be at least 135mm away from the surface of the motherboard. Cases equipped with an air guide must have their air guide ducts removed prior to installation. There must be no interfering components (e.g. PSU or VGA card) within 56 mm of the centre of the CPU (top-to-bottom in a tower case, or left-to-right in a desktop case). Nor must there be any interfering components (e.g. optical drive) within 45 mm of the centre of the CPU front-to-back, as per the following diagrams:

Zalman have released a comprehensive list of compatible motherboards. Please follow these links depending on your motherboard socket type: Intel socket 775, Pentium 4 (S478) and AMD (S754/939/940). If you cannot determine from these lists whether your motherboard is compatible with the CNPS9500A-LED then we recommend that you take measurements from your motherboard to ascertain compatibility.
