Introducing a great Blu-Ray reader that is perfect for any Media Centre system: the Samsung SH-B123L. As well as being able to play Blu-Ray movies, it is also capable of writing and reading DVDs. As expected, it offers quiet operation - in fact it can automatically reduce read speeds to reduce noise during media playback by means of S-ATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment), an advanced interface that replaces parallel ATA for an enhanced computing platform. The SH-B123L internal Blu-ray BD-ROM / DVD re-writer offers a fast BD-R read speed of 8x.
