The iMON Ultra Bay is the latest innovation from Soundgraph. The Ultra Bay builds on the success of the iMON VFD but also adds greater functionality and is more aesthetically pleasing.

The first thing you will notice about this product is that it is twice the height of the iMON VFD. This means it will require two vacant 5¼" drive bays. The top section of the Ultra Bay displays the blue LCD screen, while the lower section holds the media controls.

LCD Screen

The LCD screen can display a wide range of information, from media information to news headlines! There is also a graphic equaliser. The display supports 2-byte characters which gives the LCD great detail.

Media Controls and Software

Directly underneath the LCD screen are 13 media buttons. These buttons control anything and everything regarding playing and controlling media content on the PC with the aid of iMedian, Soundgraph's answer to Microsoft's Media Center. This excellent piece of software does everything you would expect. Watching TV, movies, DVDs, listening to music, viewing photos are all possible with iMedian.

IR Receiver

In between the LCD screen and the media controls lies the IR receiver. This receiver is compatible with the supplied iMON Pad remote controller and also Microsoft's MCE remote (not supplied). This means that you do not need Microsoft's external USB receiver.

So to sum up, if you are looking to have total control of media content over your PC with a touch of a button, or if you just want your PC to look cool, then the iMON Ultra Bay excels in both departments.
