Blue LED Case Fan with Fan Controller

The Scythe Blue LED case fans are a range of cooling fans that are designed to bring a look and feel of quality to the cooling fan market and when you look at the transparent finish of these fans it seems Scythe have done it very well.

For cooling fans they are packed with features including a PCI fan speed controller, 3-pin and 4-pin connectors and attention grabbing blue LEDs. You would think that a fan with such features and a high quality look and feel would cost the earth. Well think again!

SCYTHE BLUE LED 120MM CASE FAN WITH FAN CONTROLLER

This product would be somewhat unremarkable if it didn't feature a fan controller built in, but it works well; dialling in a medium RPM makes the fan in inaudible over hard disks, even when flush against a grille.

What's missing from the description is that the fan is 3-pin but comes with a Molex adaptor and that the controller dial can be easily separated from the blanking plate so it can be just left inside the case.

The only drawback is the blue LEDs (sigh), and that the cable from the fan to controller is quite short - I don't believe it would reach from the front of any case to a blanking plate, but its reach could be extended with anyone with trivial experience with a soldering iron.
