Finally, I got my computer to the store and they took off the noisy Mini Super Orb and installed your fan. I can't hear it over the power unit (have to buy one too) and the processor runs 15 degrees lower than before! (when playing Serious Sam it got to 75 celsius, now 60) and this is in a hot summer in Spain at 4 pm (without air conditioning). I have a PIII 1GHz. This has been a vast improvement. With the old fan, I was forced to put the computer in another room, opened, with the cables around the wall... well a terrible setup. And it made not only noise, but smelled awful too! Now I can have it in the same room, as it should be. I'm glad I made the right decision buying your product.

Simply amazing! I've installed the power supply, CPU cooler and silentdrive and my pc is significantly cooler, the only bit I can actually hear is the CPU cooler, and it beats the cooler-master I had hands down, listening to mp3s and watching television is bearable now! Everyone should spend an extra hundred pounds when they buy a new PC and install products like these - money well spent!

My CPU fans arrived this morning. I'm very pleased with them so far, they've made a huge difference to the noise output of the PC. The noisiest components are now the CD rom drives. For your information I had no problems fitting them to an Abit VP6 dual motherboard. There is plenty of clearance between the nice big buttons on the clamps and the first memory DIMM. So far the fans are doing their job as well as the massive and horribly loud fans they've replaced. Thanks again.

Just wanted to say thanks for the products. I arrived home back to Budapest, and I have built in the parts to our computers. Your ATX power supply is much quieter than the one supplied with the Palo Alto ATX case. The computer with your fan, silentdrive enclosure and silent power supply is completely noiseless in the Palo case. It is amazing, only the sound of the monitor is dimming. I just leave it on for the whole night for my long downloads, we can sleep without trouble next to it. My mother and sister can work much better on it the whole day long, they say this was the best PC investment we've ever made.

I just wanted to inform you that the new cooler is working perfectly well - it's extremely silent. It is surprising however, how once I've removed one major noise (the coolers on my old athlon), the supposedly quiet Enermax "whisper" becomes anything but a whisper. Many thanks for the arrival of my psu and cpu fan. What can I say! I had it fitted and running in about 30 mins and the majority of that time was spent screw fiddling and juggling my glasses! I just cannot believe the difference it has made. The loudest noise now is the hd 'pinking' - I can't believe it, it really is remarkable - and that's just stopped now! Thanks to your product I can hear both myself think and the clock ticking! I'm recommending your product to all my friends - even those without PC's. A brilliant product and super service - I was even able to track my package as it sped ever onward up the M1. Sorry for sounding so manic, but honestly if you could hear the difference! I just received my CPU cooler and 2 case fans and I admit I am impressed. I work at night on my computer when my family sleeps and even the background noise of my computer was disturbing my concentration. I think I will really enjoy working in silence from now on. Just to let you know that I've fitted the new Radial Fin cooler to my 1.2 gig Athlon, and it's working just fine. I've ran it under load for a couple of hours now (UD dist. computing screensaver + SiSoft Sandra in CPU burn-in mode), and it's running at 61 degrees C (according to Asus Probe), or 51 degrees (according to BIOS & SiSoft Sandra). Who knows which is correct, but that's exactly the same temp, give or take a degree, as I was getting with the old Taisol extruded jobbie, so it's working well !! Adding two more case fans has dropped it down to 59 degrees, but I think I'll leave them off for now - there's slightly less noise with just the two. So I'm very pleased, and the noise is now back down to a reasonable level again. Now I just need to do something about this clattering keyboard ...... Many thanks

Two days ago I received my order.... two minutes later I had opened the little parcel... and two hours later I was running at silent mode ;-) Simply amazing your devices, especially the case coolers were astounding !! Your SilentDrive product should really be called WhatDrive?, as most people I've asked have struggled to hear anything! My IBM Deskstar 75GXP 75GB runs in near total silence, and so far has only reached a maximum temperature of 40C, despite a heat dissipation of 8.1 watts and some fairly hefty workouts. The noise from my dual processors (1GHz PIIIs) has been reduced from the howling tornado of Intel's default heatsinks, to an imperceptible sigh, thanks to the Molex heatsinks. They are running at a very respectable 30C. Now I can hear the traffic again! Thanks a million!

I received my case fan and atx power supply today, have fitted them and am stunned to say the least by the power supply. I know full well the amount of noise a standard atx fan throws out so was amazed by the reduction in noise this alone has given me. However I should have done my research a little more thoroughly as when I had my case open tonight I had a play around and discovered the amount of racket my CPU fan causes. Therefore I would like to order a FCPGA cooling fan from you ( I have an Intel FCPGA CPU ) as well as a hard drive enclosure. I switched on my PC with these two disconnected and couldn't hear a pin drop so that is definitely the way to go for me now !!

I finally got my machine put together with a QuietPC power supply, case fan, and CPU fan. Now I can sleep with it in the same room! I thought you'd be interested to know that I'm using one of your current Athlon fans (rated to 1.0GHz) on a 1.2GHz/266MHz FSB chip, and even after running the SETI@Home client for over 12 hours straight, it's at a comfy 56.4 deg C, and the motherboard temp is only 28.5C. Thanks for the great products!

Just a very quick note to say I installed your power supply and chip fan yesterday. All went swimmingly and my computer is now as quiet as a mouse. The change is quite something. Used to always have an annoying background rumble going on, hated to leave my pc on if not using it for a while. Now I'll probably be leaving it on by accident, thinking it was off. Your parts certainly are not the cheapest, some of my friends think I was mad spending £85 to make my computer quieter, but it will probably give me as much long term benefit as any other upgrade that I might buy.

I received all the goods, and I have to say it's absolutely amazing how quiet things have gotten. The wife approval factor is immeasurable and amazing. She even asked at one point last week, why I was sitting in front of my PC without having it on, little did she know that at the time I was ripping MP3's and the blank screen saver had kicked in. They are truly very good products. I'm still able to overclock my AMD Duron 750 to 900 MHz using the cooler, the difference between the Thermaltake Chrome Orb cooler and the one you sell, is 2 degrees Celsius warmer at full cpu load, so the Duron runs at 42C, which is perfect and completely silent at the same time!! I basically only hear the hard disk seek at times, which is just fine. Word of mouth going to all my colleagues and PC freaks.

The order arrived safely last week and I have now installed the components in 3 computers and all users are very pleased with the results. The difference is just phenomenal !! I just had a call from my son whose computer I modified for him over the weekend. He had been complaining about the racket for some time and had no option but to turn it off each night because it was in his bedroom. I installed a Socket 7 processor fan, a power supply fan and a hard drive cover. He said it sounds even better than a new computer now and he finds himself checking the screen just to make sure that it is still on!! I came across your particular products in an article on computer generated noise in the Sound on Sound magazine who were very complimentary. I have now taken delivery of my 300w power supply and all I can say is....WOW!! The only noise coming from my pc now is the Athlon CPU fan (I have ordered the CPU fan from you) and when I stop the CPU fan my system is virtually silent!! I have to keep checking to see if it is actually working..and it most definitely is. Have an IBM 30gb HD [IBM Deskstar 75GXP 30.7Gb UDMA100] and it's very quiet itself......ahhhh at last, silence ! I've installed the cooler on the 1.1Ghz CPU. It works great! Before I had a quite large, really noisy Pentalpha (?) fan. The quietpc fan is virtually silent. The old fan kept the CPU on approx 59 degrees celcius, now it is running at approx 61. Now I'm considering to buy the silentdrive since the drive is the new main source of noise... Thanks for selling great products!

I was having 2nd thoughts about removing the stock HS/Fan from my slot 1 PIII 1GHz (100 FSB) as it was doing a good cooling job, averaging about 35C (compared to my PIII 700 with Golden Orb at about 43C), but had an annoyingly loud whine/hum. Popped your Radial Fan on (btw, instructions are as accurate as possible!!) and it's now inaudible - if I stick my ear right next to the fan I can hear a slight wind noise, but no fan whine. The early indications on cooling are that it's about the same as the Intel stock HS/Fan - good enough for me. The only change I made was to use Arctic Silver heat compound instead of the pad so I can't comment on the effectiveness of that. The silentdrive is excellent. I've wrapped it around a 7,200 rpm IBM SCSI drive (it has 5.1W idle and passes the temperature test) which is now virtually - well, silent. All the irksome high end noise is gone, leaving a quite satisfying low throb, which is (almost) pleasant. This will preserve its life, I was so fed up with it before I had set it to power down after 2 minutes.

I have just received my 300W power supply and CPU cooler and fitted them to my PC. Being naturally sceptical I was not surprised when I turned it on to find that although much quieter, my system was emitting an extremely annoying high pitched whir. Congratulating myself on my pessimism I decided to try setting Windows to shut down the hard drive after 3 minutes. The minutes passed and then click...........nothing.......silence. I literally could not believe my ears. That whine must have been there all the time obscured by cheap fan noises. Thank you QuietPC for producing a product that actually surpasses expectations. A rare thing these days. Shortly I shall be kitting out my other two PCs with power supplies and coolers as well as Silentdrives for all three. I already got it! One day earlier than expected. UPS Express delivery is quite impressive. The package was in Pennsylvania at midnight but I received it here in Vancouver, Canada at noon. :) I got the [300W] power supply and the Socket-A CPU fan, and they are two of the greatest products ever. :) My Duron 800 is cooled to 34~44°C in virtual SILENCE. It's not QUIET. It's SILENT. I tested them without the hard drives unplugged and I couldn't hear anything. (With no exaggeration) I was quite shocked not to hear anything when turning on the computer. :) The only noisy component is the hard drive now. I am looking forward to order the SilentDrive as soon as you have them in stock. Thanks a lot for marketing great products. Every penny of the $230 (Canadian) that I spent was worth it. P.S. I am going to build a site in the near future with instructions on how to build a quiet PC. I am definitely recommending your products.

Finally my new PC is up and running and is really quiet too!! I have changed the standard power supply in my rackmount case with your 300W model, replaced the two 80MM front panel fans with the 2 silencers one and installed my new MOBO with PIII800 cooled by the Molex radiator.Put 2 of my maxtor drives in the silentdrives and after turning everything on I was really surprised of the quietness of the system. I mean, is not dead silent (I guess because 2 80MM fan make a little noise and also I have a WD Hard drive without silentdrive) but compared to my previous system it is a great improvement. For sure is quieter than any other standard PC or Mac. So I'm really satisfied!!

I received my order today. First off, I want to say how speedy the delivery time was. It got here way before what I would have expected it to take. As for the items I purchased my comments are as follows. cpu cooler: nice and quiet. Cools my cpu way better than the aftermarket cooler I had on it before did. fan: even quieter than the fans that came with my case, and I seriously thought those were quiet to begin with! power supply: ah yes, the good ol' power supply. Well, I must say, it surprised me. It was quieter than anything I would have ever imagined! It puts my old power supply to shame (of course my old one was 400W (vs. 300W), but still though). I'm still fairly confident your power supply is quieter than PC Power and Cooling's 275W power supply. You guys really have a kick-ass product (all 3 of them, and not just the power supply). I'm a very happy customer, thank you! ... Of course you can quote me on your website. I would be honored to have my words on there. Whenever a company produces a product of superior performance (and especially bundled with a very reasonable price), I feel that they should be recognized for their accomplishment/achievement, via word of mouth advertising and ultimately, I wish them healthy sales and revenue growth rates, for they deserve such a fate. I was just happily surfing on Tuesday - and thought boy my PC sounds loud! So I found your site, ordered the product, the following evening my power supply blew up!! Strange! Anyway this new [250W] power supply is amazing, it is totally silent! All I can hear are the hard drives now ... The new power supply fixed another problem I had - suspend to RAM never seemed to work with my new graphics card, I guess there wasn't enough juice in the old one to keep it running on low power mode - this is cured now! To be honest I was a little bit sceptical when I read those quotes, but I am a total convert now! I guess the more quotes you have - the less chance for sceptics like me to doubt! As for the OLD power supply.. who knows! Divine intervention?

I installed the psu, case fan and cpu fan and all worked fine. My computer doesn't sound like the industrial machinery it did before anymore. QuietPC.com has all the gubbins required to reduce the infernal racket your PC makes by up to 90% - and it's pretty affordable too. The site's packed with info about how they can make your PC whisper rather than hum.

Your power supplies are simply breathtaking. How the devil did you ever get them to be so quiet? Why aren't your products on the tip of everyone's tongue? I use a PC Power And Cooling 235 Watt supply and it sounds like a freight train compared to the Quiet PC 250 Watt supply! Whenever I build a system for someone or recommend a power supply on the program, if they want silence and performance, we are going through Quiet PC. Period.

I received the [CPU] fans yesterday, thanks. They've installed fine (quite a lot of force to put them in though - invoking paranoia about breaking the plastic retention clips on the socket!!) They keep my system at 30C (CPU1) and 28C (CPU2) at idle, and go up to about 45C with burnbx running twice, once per CPU. Very satisfying! They are much quieter than those that they replaced, and that is saying something. I have a software utility that controls the fans on the BP6 [motherboard], and if I turn them off, I can't hear the difference, so that can't be bad. The two fans do not appear to interfere with one another. Considering that there are two of the Molex coolers doing their stuff, the noise level is nothing short of phenomenal.

Just a quick note to say that I have now installed my CPU fan, and I'm glad to say the reviews weren't fibbing! Only problem for me now is that it's made me wonder just how much *more* quiet it would be if I got the power supply you do as well - but my budget won't stretch to that just now! Having said that, however, even the difference the QuietPC CPU fan is amazing. When I'm watching television, I no longer have the annoying rattle of the old CPU fan in the background - and in a flat as small as the one I occupy, that's a real boon! Er - you don't do kitchen extractor fans as well, do you? :-)

Right now, two of the machines have the new power supplies. I can hear the fan of the third one from 6 metres away. And the birds are chirping nicely. I knew these things would be quiet, but I wasn't expecting them to be _that_ quiet. You can't even hear them when you have your ear right next to the fan!

Just another few words to say received the CPU cooler ok. Fitting it was simplicity itself and the results just great. I didn't realise just how much of a 'whine' the original cooling fan made 'till I fitted the replacement. Now I can work on my PC for long stretches without the constant irritating noises. i ordered a 300w psu, a case fan, a drive enclosures and a cpu cooler on monday to receive the goods on thursday. installing the psu and the case fan was a no-brainer. especially the psu was remarkably quiet -- very silent compared to the 235w psu that it replaced. after some trial and error the drive enclosure was in place as well, and most of the hard drive sound just disappeared, although under load the sound of the heads moving across the platters is still discernible as a deep rumble. overall the results are quite impressive. even with the loud cpu cooler and an unenclosed drive, the volume of the noise has dropped considerably. perhaps just as important, the quality of the noise is different as well. it is more subdued and not as obnoxious as before.

I've fitted one Molex cooler to my 866 PIII CPU. It turned out it had already been fitted with a "CoolerMaster" which is a chunk of aluminium and a fan. With the CoolerMaster fitted I get CPU temperatures over 75°C which can't be good for the processor. Running the plain desktop is ok, but fire up a game like UnrealTournament and [the temperature alarm] screams its head off. Presumably this is due to extra CPU strain running more parallel operations and SIMD extensions.
So far, results with the Molex look good. The CPU goes over 60°C but not over 65°C even when running UnrealTournament. The Molex fan is very quiet when compared to the other case fans. Visually the CoolerMaster looks quite impressive but a difference of 10°C is quite significant. If the Molex really is this much better, I think we should order a few for the faster machines at the office as it could significantly extend lifetimes especially over the summer.H.S., London, UK

Everything is installed since this morning and working fine. When ordering I thought 'Boy, is this stuff expensive! This has to be good, or somebody makes a lot of money with nothing'. Let me tell you: This stuff is good! Even though the hard disc cases look really cheap, the effect is astounding. I spend that much money on quietpc.com, because I really was annoyed by the noise my computer was making. And I live in Berlin in the middle of the city, next to a busy street - imagine how loud my computer must have been! But now I can even leave it on at night in the room I sleep in. And the CPU doesn't get as hot as it did any more: I run a PIII 700MHz at 770MHz. The temperature with ordinary cooler and heatsink was always close to 70° Celsius with SETI at home running - now it always is around 60° Celsius. Great piece of work the CPU Cooler. And the "quietness" of the Ultra Quiet power supply is already in the name. So, all I can say is: Great products for much money - but it's worth it.

I have just installed my new quiet 300 W power supply (1 day delivery time with UPS. That's quite remarkable) and I must say I'm very happy with it. There is a lot of difference between this power supply and my old 300 W Fortron. The new one is almost silent. I'm very satisfied... You should know that I am a very happy customer. My PC is much more quiet after I installed the new power supply.

As for results: I have a gaggle of hard drives in my home machine, owing to many work-related files. My PC could rouse my two cats sleeping three rooms away. With the SilentDrives installed, the drive noise was reduced to a gentle hum. There is still a whir from the CPU fan, but there is a product for that, too. More adventurous noise-sensitive owners may want to check into noise-abating power supplies and case fans.

The installation was straight forward for the power supply and Chassis Fan. The Silent Drive installation was quite time consuming, but the explanations I found on your site were very explicit, and easy to follow. And now? Yes, it is quiet, and I enjoy it! It could be even more silent, if my Yamaha CRW4416S had a better fan, but still, I am now happy with it. I tested the power supply alone: I couldn't hear much of it. Same thing for the chassis fan.
So now I am working and really enjoying my cool new computer which sounded, before the installation, like a helicopter! Thank you for your service! The installation instruction online is again a great idea which helped me to decide if the parts would fit in my PC. Measured an 8dB drop in noise from my PC (43dB to 35dB). (A weighted average measured over 2 minutes). That power supply is virtually SILENT!

Have just installed new power supply and it sounds (or doesn't sound) great. Why didn't my case come with one of these as standard - I would have been willing to pay an extra ten or twenty quid to get the better quality power supply rather than the one that I got with the case. It took no more than 15 mins start to finish to install and it is a million times better than the power supply that I removed. I will keep the old power supply as a spare but I'm definitely in no hurry to put it back !!
