Zalman's CNPS9500 series has been an extremely popular CPU cooler since its release back in 2005. A year later Zalman released the larger CNPS9700, which proved to be just as popular CNPS9500. Zalman have now released another CPU cooler that uses their excellent Aero design, the CNPS9300-AT.
You may be fooled in thinking the that Zalman's latest incarnation of the Aero Flower is their smallest yet. But in fact it is actually taller than the CNPS9500 series. As you can see from the image below, compared to the CNPS9500 and CNPS9700 series the CNPS9300 looks as though it is a lean slimmer version of its fatter cousins!
The main reason Zalman did not make the CNPS9300 smaller than the CNPS9500 is quite simply, they didn't need to! They wanted to produce a CPU cooler that would be able to cool the latest quad core processors from both AMD and Intel while remaining compatible with their HD160 series Home Theater PC Cases.

From a performance point of view the CNPS9300-AT is actually better than the CNPS9500 series. Zalman have confirmed that during their extensive testing the CNPS9300-AT out-performed the CNPS9500-AT by 1-2°C on a continued basis. OK, these temperatures are not a massive difference but when you consider the CNPS9300-AT is lighter, cheaper, just as quiet and has a fan that incorporates Superflo bearings (for longer life) it makes it difficult to recommend the CNPS9500 series in any application.
Features

- Compatible with both Intel and AMD processors (all speeds)
- Long-life PWM fan for automatic fan speed control based on CPU temperature
- Ultra slim fins (0.2mm) for minimised weight and reduced airflow resistance
