Intel Socket 478 Quiet CPU Coolers
Socket 478 has been around since 2000 and has been home to some great processors, in fact the first dual core processor was designed for socket 478. Just like LGA775, CPU heat generation can vary with this socket. We have therefore broken down the Pentium 4 columns into two, <95W (greater than) and >95W (less than). To help determine how much heat a CPU generates please refer to this very useful web page that lists all CPUs and their heat output, alternatively please read our FAQ "How do I choose a CPU cooler?" (this will open in a new window).
