Once you've used a computer running its operating system from an SSD instead of a conventional HDD, you'll never go back. Crucial's models are the market leaders, providing affordable lightning-fast storage for any new or retro-fit PC build. They are especially beneficial when used as system/boot drives, providing an unbelievable improvement in PC boot-up times, especially for Microsoft Windows systems.

A Better Alternative
Crucial's M225 series solid-state drive is a better alternative to a traditional hard drive in PCs. No moving parts provide for a quieter, cooler, and more durable storage solution designed for the demands of mobility.
Improves Performance
Solid-State technology brings a new level of performance and reliability to storage. With read speeds up to 250MB/s the Crucial M225 series can improve boot and application load times.
Memory Experts
The Crucial brand of memory has long been synonymous with reliability and high-performance. Their expertise in NAND process technology enables them to optimise the performance and durability of Crucial solid-state drives.
Guaranteed Compatible
Crucial M225 series employ a standard hard drive interface and dimensions, so it is an easy storage upgrade for most systems.
Firmware Upgrades
Firmware upgrades can offer improved performance and reliability and are provided by Crucial. They can be downloaded from this page.
Physical Installation
The M225 solid-state drives have a standard 2.5" form factor, so they are a direct substitute for any standard laptop hard drive. They can easily be installed in any desktop PC, but if your PC case doesn't have any 2.5" drive bays, we recommend using a Scythe Twin Mounter 2.5 Rev.B, 2.5 to 3.5inch Adapter to allow the SSD to be installed in a 3.5" bay.

64GB SSD (1)

(10/10)
Fast & silent, as you'd expect. An excellent drive, no signs of any performance issues (stuttering or slowing down) but I haven't full loaded this up yet. Using it as a gaming drive and it definitely loads quicker than the old 7200RPM. File transfers are very fast. Just wish I'd bought two while they were a tad cheapers!
Overall, everything you'd expect from these drivers, and now there is the 1819 firmware to enable trimming which should make sure performance remains even if you are often adding and removing data from the drive.
