Scythe Kaze Master PRO 5.25 inch Black Fan Controller

The Kaze Master PRO 5.25 looks great and can control an incredible six fans and monitor temperatures at up to six different points in your PC.

The Kaze Master range continues to grow with the introduction of the new Kaze Master Pro 5.25. The difference between this controller and the Kaze Master and Kaze Master Ace is that the PRO version can control up to six fans, the other two can only control a max of four.

To see how fast a fan is spinning a dial needs to be moved to the fan you want to monitor. When switched to the correct fan the centre display shows the RPM and temperature of the corresponding probe. One thing we are often asked about the fan controllers we sell, is whether they can switch the fan(s) off when their dials are turned down to the minimum setting. The Kaze Masters Pro can! So if you only want a fan to run under certain circumstances then these could be your ideal fan controllers.

The fan controller is supplied with six temperature probes. These probes connect to the rear of the fan controller and are then placed inside the PC. The best locations to place these probes depends on which component(s) you wish to monitor. The most common choices are the CPU and the graphics card, so by slotting the probe between the heatsink fins you are then able to monitor how hot the heatsink runs.

The unit has been great so far , but I have 2 issues so therefore I deducted 2 stars. The finish on the front panel is excellent but there are imperfections on the edges which can also be seen from the picture of the product posted here on the site. The controller sticks a tiny bit from my bay just enough for the imperfection to be seen and annoy me.

On the other hand if it fits perfectly in your case it wouldn’t be visible. The other issue is with the channel knobs. Due to the small size it’s a bit hard to turn the knob to change the channels. If your hands are a tiny bit oily or sweaty it’s almost mission impossible to change the channels. Otherwise this is a great unit and I highly recommend it.
