  2. ATI HD4870 and NVIDIA 9800GTX+ compatible
  3. Efficient heat transfer via four heatpipes and 30 fins
  4. Two ultra quiet 80mm fans with low noise impeller
  5. Patented fan holder eliminates vibrational noise
  6. RAM and voltage regulator cooling
  7. SLI and Crossfire compatible
  8. Pre-applied MX-2
  9. Six year warranty

Unmatched Cooling Performance

Featuring four heat pipes, 30 fins and two PWM fans, the Accelero Twin Turbo optimises airflow to 40 CFM, and achieves up to 120 Watt cooling capacity. Together with memory and voltage regulator cooling, this new VGA cooler gives enthusiasts a very promising result up to 26C lower than the NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT stock cooler. With such phenomenal cooling performance, the Accelero Twin Turbo also maximises the overclocking potential and extends the service life of your graphics card.

The Art of Silence

Low noise impeller and patented fan holder are installed in the two 80mm PWM fans. This unique design reduces the humming sounds significantly and brings the noise level down to 0.6 Sone, compared with 1.3 Sone of noise generated by the stock cooler.

Flexible Mounting System

The universal design for the Accelero Twin Turbo supports the hottest graphics cards in the market, from NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX+ to ATI Radeon HD4870, 4850 and many more! It also comes with two fan plugs for direct power connection to the VGA card and thus the fans can be controlled by the graphics card drivers.

PLEASE NOTE - Arctic Cooling measure noise levels in Sone (loudness) instead of dB (sound intensity). The loudness depends upon your ears response curves and tells you how noticeable a certain noise is.

Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Review

,

This GPU cooling solution has to be one of the best I have come across. It dropped my idle temps on a 9800gtx+ by 12 degrees using the on card power connector.

The drop in noise is a joy as I mainly got this to replace a overly noisy fan on my 2nd card in an SLI setup. Now all I can hear is card 1’s stock cooler.

The cooler is relatively easy to install, I had more trouble removing my stock cooler.

One thing that is slightly misleading is that it is advertised as SLI compatible, however when putting it in PCIe slot 1, the fan is just too big and doesn’t allow a second card to be installed. So if you have SLI don’t order 2 of these as I did.

Overall excellent performance, price point and a cool look. If they hadn’t advertised it as SLI compatible I would’ve given it 10/10.

Good stuff!

Quiet PC delivered this item in under 24hrs which is amazing. The cooler is well engineered but don’t be fooled by “this is a 10 minute job” which I saw in one review. My card is an Nvidia 9600GT. The backplate and stock cooler take some prising off, so be aware if you have a similar card. The Arctics heat sinks failed to stick on even after using an eraser to roughen the backs of the RAM chips. This was sorted by using a hair dryer to heat the adhesive on the heat sinks and it worked very well. The rest was relatively easy. Tip: Fit the fan plug before you assemble the whole housing, otherwise its a broken fingernail job! Now fitted and been on for 2 hrs I can’t hear the fans unless I’m really close to the case. Oddly enough it has lowered the CPU temperature by a clear 10 degrees C! This is because the stock cooler backplate was very close to my CPU cooler and got very hot under load, dissipating heat onto the CPU cooler. All in all, a lovely bit of kit. Highly recommended.
