The name ZEROtherm was christened by Dr. Song, CEO of APACK and lifelong engineer. For the first product he said, “With our first retail product we need to exceed expectations, so make it happen.” While ZEROtherm represented the engineering goal to build a competitive cooler, from a design point of view ZEROtherm wanted a product that represented their ‘first flight’ into the retail market.
The butterfly design was to be incorporated into the first product because it represents their first flight into the retail market, but also like a butterfly, the company APACK (parent company of ZEROtherm) was changing from a very comfortable OEM market to a very open world-wide retail market.
Of course every product can be better and it’s something that they are working hard on, but maybe people will not understand the butterfly design or be critical of it. But for ZEROtherm it is part of their effort that shows their ability in design as well as in engineering. Their hope is that all ZEROtherm products can show their commitment to engineering, value, design and performance. ZEROtherm is committed everyday not just to meet your expectations, but to put all their efforts into exceeding them.
