Nexus AXP-3200 SkiveTek Quiet AMD Socket A CPU Cooler
“The Nexus AXP-3200 SkiveTek is an aluminium and copper, SkiveTek technology heat sink equipped with a fan with 2400 RPM fan that produces only 19 dB(A). ”
The Nexus AXP-3200 is constructed from aluminium and copper and features SkiveTek technology (see below). The heat sink is equipped with a 70mm fan that rotates at only 2400 RPM, this produces and a noise rating of only 19 dB(A). The aluminium heat sink has a 99.5% pure copper base plate fitted over the bottom of the SkiveTek while the aluminium heat sink ensures optimal heat conductivity. The patented V-shaped fins on the Nexus AXP-3200 SkiveTek optimize the airflow and prevent air obstruction. This results in a stable RPM level and an extremely low noise operation.

SkiveTek is one of the worlds most advanced technologies. This concept permits the production of heat sinks with a precise and super fine detail previously considered impossible. SkiveTek represents a process of shaping materials to produce lightweight, high fin density thermal solutions. Base plate and fins are constructed out of one piece of pure aluminium/copper by cutting the material in thin layers, bending the fins in place. No bonding, welding, soldering or adhesive is involved; the joint between fin and base is continuous aluminium/copper.

If you've an old Athlon/Sempron socket-A CPU then it's not leading edge stuff. That means it's probably got an old cheap CPU fan. This cooler can be fitted in 5 minutes and will give your ears a rest while not breaking the bank. I strongly recommend buying some ArctiClean cleaner to get the dried gunk off your CPU before fitting this beauty. It comes with some thermal paste but the best you can buy is Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste from Quiet PC. Well worth the investment.
*NOTE* If you're not experienced swapping Socket-A fans be careful not to slip and scratch your motherboard with a screwdriver as you hook new the cooler on. This is a problem to all Socket-A coolers and not just this one. It's just a poor design of the clips on the side of the AMD's socket-A.
Buy with confidence: QuietPC has got the best customer service of any online company. Period.
Good luck and enjoy the quiet!
